Stories in Cake came into being because I wanted a place to showcase the cakes I’ve decorated over the years. Cake Decorating is a hobby I picked up from my mother growing up.

Washburn Rural High School graduation. Blue ones are chocolate cake, white ones are white cake.
Topeka High Trojans to Allen Co. Red Devils
White cake with buttercream frosting. Trojan is made using melted chocolate and Red Devil is cut from modeling chocolate.
Ballet Slippers
This is for two sisters who’s birthdays are only a few days apart. They share a party every year. White cake with fondant accents.

Jumping Dolphins
White cake with buttercream frosting. Dolphins made out of modeling chocolate. The white is supposed to be “white caps” in water.
Basketball & Jersey
Strawberry basketball, covered in fondant with chocolate accents. Jersey is a combination of fondant and chocolate.

This ipod cake is for my sons 15th birthday. White cake and buttercream frosting. Icons are fondant, dried, then hand painted. Calendar has the day and date he was born, weather icon has the high temperature for the day in city he was born, clock has the time he was born.
